Are you ready for some rock 'n' roll!? My album with Casey DeMott, under our band name Sullivan DeMott was released last Thursday, August 13th. The album, Live For Today, is now currently for sale on our website. The tunes that can be found on this release are dynamic range of rock 'n' roll songs injected with lots of groove and ruckus. Really, the best way I can describe the music found on Live For Today is, "Imagine Bob Seger buying Weezer a beer while Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello give them a heads up on women, the good ole days, and growing older."
Live for Today is a full-on rock album filled with ample ruckus and groove. The style ranges from hard-driving guitar anthems to melodic and soulful ballads and loose- and open-format grooves. A highlight on the release is "Beatin' Hearts With Broken Heads," an eerie, but faithful anthem of being down and out but believing that there are bright times ahead. Also featured on the album are tracks "Miss You Already," a song for your sweetheart that's sure to last, and "Way Back Home," a soul-searching groove about finding your place in the world.
We're really pumped about this release as it's been a long time in the making, with the writing of some of these songs dating back many years. Be sure to check out the samples on sullivandemott.com and pick up your copy today!

1. Way Back Home (Solo Acoustic)
2. Miss You Already (Solo Acoustic)
3. Beatin' Hearts with Broken Heads (Solo Acoustic)

Videos for these performances are available on my YouTube channel.
Keep in mind that all of these songs will be featured on my upcoming album release due out this summer with Casey DeMott! The difference, however, is that the album features full on band arrangements so this is probably the only release of these tunes I will be putting out for quite a while in their solo acoustic form. Please enjoy and be sure to subscribe to the email list / RSS feed if you like what you hear!

The third and final track that I recorded during the Mayday Session is "Beatin' Hearts With Broken Heads." This track was written with Marshall stacks and powerful drums in mind, as you can hear in the sound clip at the end of the video. It is definitely an interesting twist and perspective to do this tune solo acoustic, but I think the acoustic guitar brings a cool flavor. Hope you dig it!
Also, watch the videos to the other Mayday Session tunes, "Way Back Home" and "Miss You Already."

As the weather starts to turn here in Eugene, I'm getting very anxious to share with everybody the music that I've been working hard to get recorded over the Winter months. Yesterday, I decided it would be fun to record both video and audio for some sneak previews of a few of the tunes that will be featured on the upcoming album.

Titled the "Mayday Session," since the recording session took place the weekend of May Day, these tracks are performed with just an acoustic guitar and my voice. It should be a fun way to share these tunes in a different format than how we've been recording for the album. My plan is to release each of the songs on my YouTube channel as well as here, one each day, starting today. Enjoy and be sure to let me know what you think!
